Booral Bath House
Residential, House Alterations and Additions
Situated on a rural property surrounded by native bushland, the strategy for this project centered upon the need to safeguard the house from the threat of bushfire.
We identified the necessity of maintaining the singular roof form, which encouraged a restrained approach to the modifications. Alterations to the existing layout were implemented selectively, resulting in both increased liveability and the preservation of fire precautions.
The addition of an outdoor bathing courtyard utilises stone from the site and takes advantage of the serene and bushy backdrop, providing an opportunity for repose and appreciation of the natural landscape.
