Mark is a registered Architect and director of Anthrosite. He graduated with honours from the University of Queensland’s Architecture program in 2004, and completed the Board of Architects registration in 2007. Mark has established Anthrosite as an emerging practice throught a developing range of residential projects; single detached dwelling, alterations and additions, student
housing, multi-residential and pre-fabrication housing. In late 2018. Prior to founding Anthrosite Architects, Mark’s professional
experience has covered a diverse range of architectural practices and project across Australia and Europe. Beginning in London for Bryden Wood Associates. Moving
to Melbourne in 2000, Mark worked for Jackson Clements Burrows on a range of multi-residential housing and single bespoke houses. Relocating to Brisbane in 2003 Mark worked for Richard Kirk Architect. After completing the Board of Architects registration in 2007, Mark worked for Donovan Hill as Design and Project Architect leading the Santos Place project from the developed design phase through to project completion. Mark also lead the team in the design. documentation and delivery of 12 BER National School Pride projects.

Mark also combines teaching with architectural practice. Having previously taught at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology. Since 2010, Mark has been involved at the University of Newcastle’s School of Architecture.
